Changing to WordPress

I’m finding that Chyrp is a little limiting and have decided to migrate to WordPress. The site will be pretty ugly until I have time to do something about it. Of course this also breaks links and what not, but I’m working on that. Fixed the links issue. Simpler than I thought. The layout and style however…

What’s Going On Here?

I’ve had a place here on the tubes for a few years now. My primary site ( has been languishing for a while as I don’t often get out to shoot new photos and even if I do, I don’t get a lot of time to scan the photos in for posting. A month or so ago, I stumbled across Chyrp and thought I could use it to satisfy my desire to create a new site and also to have some flexibility with what I can post.

The general look of this site will slowly be changing as I learn how to modify Chyrp and make decisions on how I want to present the content. It may not always look pretty, but it should at least look like something.

I’m considering this to be a sort of new beginning. I’m not going to put any pressure on myself to produce anything. I’ll be posting a mix of text (like this post), links to interesting things on the web, photos and other stuff. If all goes well this site will receive a decent amount of attention.
