I’m disconnecting the Brightkite to Twitter integration here in favor of having each service be stand alone. I’ve done this to allow for a Lifestream page. When Brightkite posts to Twitter (and Twitter to Facebook) I was ending up with duplications all over the place on that page. With everything disconnected, the lifestream page will be clean and will contain no duplicates.
I’m carbon neutral for one day. How about you?
Carrie: I’d like to try the blonde that goes down easy (pointing to her beer choice on the menu).
Dan: Me too, but I’ll have a screwdriver.
Carrie: Oh, it’s a yeasty blonde.
Me: Also, the new Butch Walker showed up today. It’s so full of awesome, I may not come home tonight. I think we’re eloping to Vegas.
Brandy: That’s hilarious!
Me: You think I’m kidding?
A coworker emailed this to me today while I was dealing with a weird data import problem. It was just what I needed.
Lots of layout changes to the site today. I removed the steady stream of Twitter posts from the normal listing of posts. My latest tweet is now in the header. All tweets can be read in the Twitter archive.

This is what happens in my house when there is a pile of clothes that needs to be folded.
I’ve added my tweets from Twitter to the site. The tweets will appear inline with everything else I post here. My reasoning for this is that everything I post online should appear on this site in the order I posted it. What’s really interesting is that I have Brightkite feeding Twitter which then feeds this site. This site then feeds posts to Twitter, without duplicating tweets). I may turn this second piece off in the future, it just depends on how much noise I end up generating.
I’m finding that Chyrp is a little limiting and have decided to migrate to WordPress. The site will be pretty ugly until I have time to do something about it.
Of course this also breaks links and what not, but I’m working on that. Fixed the links issue. Simpler than I thought. The layout and style however…
I think I just threw up in my mouth. Yep, pretty sure I did.
It will be. I just started a new job. Get off me.
